Here it is, the best memoir I’ve read this year. In his interview with The Rumpus — an interview I recommend reading — author Justin St. Germain says, “A friend once said memoir is an act of love and rage. I think that’s true. Some of my favorite books embrace the latter, and I tried to as well.”
In addition to his love and rage, Mr. St. Germain is just an excellent storyteller trying to unravel a mystery. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop.
